I am an avid gardener. I am not particularly neat and organized about it; I like to grow all kinds of interesting things, let them go and see what happens. Nature is a consummate artist. So, when I think of gardens, I am not imagining something tidy, necessarily, though that can be a good thing. I love to find things blooming in the wild, little colored miracles that startle you when you spot them, weedy things gathered into tapestries in certain seasons, or something lone and spectacular thriving in a sunlit spot in an otherwise shady place. In this gallery, you'll find paintings of things that bloom, creep and shine, in whatever way they go about it.
